Painting Talk: Go the Distance

Online Sometimes paintings come about easily. We experience a natural flow in their making, and they seem to emerge effortlessly from within onto the surface. And then there’s the flip side of that -- the paintings we push and pull into being pieces that speak to us and deliver the feeling and message we want to convey. This video tells the story of one of those paintings for me, a painting called “There.” My hope is that by sharing the evolution of There, you feel supported and validated in any personal struggle you may have bringing a painting to life. I’ve been there. We’ve all been there. Pun intended.
