How Details Can Make a Difference in Abstract Painting

"Detail" can be addressed in very different ways in painting. Sometimes the details in a piece are more obvious and recognizable. In abstraction, details may be less obvious to the viewer and yet still critical to communicating the intent and meaning of any given piece. In this video I talk about a few of details I pay attention to in my abstract painting process to create the intellectual and emotional properties I'm after to bring my work to resolution.
