Abstract Painting: Trading Fear for Possibility

Fear can play a role in any kind of art practice. One particular fear many of us struggle with is losing or painting over an element we like or even love in the service of making a piece better. In this video I talk about how overcoming fear moves us from contraction to expansion and how learning to sacrifice a part for the whole can get us closer to what we want to convey in our work.
